Vlk Joins ECHL


The Oklahoma City Blazers announced today that star forward Dominik Vlk has joined the Tulsa Oilers of the ECHL.  In 32 games with the Blazers, the skilled Czech forward scored 24 goals and added 28 assists for 52 points to go along with 57 penalty minutes in the regular season. The six foot, 180 pound Vlk, becomes the first WSHL’er in league history to make the jump directly to the ECHL ,which is 2 leagues below the National Hockey League.

The Tulsa Oilers currently sit in the 4th and final playoff spot in the Central division holding a 3 point lead over the Wichita Thunder with 5 games remaining.

The Tulsa Oilers next game is this Friday at 7:30 Pm at the BOK center in Tulsa when they take on the visiting Missouri Mavericks.
