The Oklahoma City Blazers came away with a huge series win this weekend over the Mountain Division powerhouse Casper Coyotes. OKC gutted out a 4-3 win Sunday to take the weekend series 2-1. The B’s were led by none other than local product Kole Hudson who scorched the Coyotes for 3 goals including the game winner in the third period to seal the deal and improve the Blazers record to 13-3 on the season. Roderick Van Den Hout also added a goal with an absolute laser of shot in the first period as well.  The first place Blazers stretched their lead on the the next closest team in the Midwest Division to 7 points with two games in hand on the 2nd place Dallas Snipers. Dallas and OKC go head to head for a 3 game series this upcoming weekend in Dallas.

Blazers goaltender Filip Kostka continues his stellar play picking up the win and making 18 saves on 21 shots and has a league best personal record of 11-0.

“Taking 2 of 3 from an elite hockey club like Casper was great for us. We knew coming in they were a very highly skilled team and had great depth. We found a way and stuck to the game plan tonight. Kole Hudson was an animal, he’s been a bit bit snakebite perhaps on the goal scoring front but it was only a matter of time before he broke out. A player of that caliber who works as hard as he does won’t be denied. He led the way for us tonight without a doubt. And saying that, really, everyone contributed and played a huge part in the win. Role guys, Dmen, special teams you name it. We were a team and we won cause of it,” said head coach Tyler Fleck.

The Blazers head to Dallas this upcoming weekend to take on the Dallas Snipers for a 3 in 3 set. The next Blazers home game is Wednesday November 25th at 7PM when OKC hosts the Turnpike rival Tulsa Oilers.

Another sellout crowd is expected so call now for tickets.
