Blazers Win Big

Blazers 10 Tulsa 2 1:30:16

The Oklahoma City Blazers belted the visiting Tulsa Oilers 10-2 Saturday night in front a full house at the Blazers Ice Centre. Fourteen different Blazers hit the scoresheet for the home club and Ole Nilsen picked up the win in goal. Highlites of the night were Blazer’s forward Kirill Romanov’s hat trick that had the ice littered with hats late in the third and Alex Yuk’s spirited fight with a Tulsa player that brought the crowd to their feet. Midway through the second after a 2-2 first period, Blazers Head Coach Tyler Fleck was ejected from the game after disputing a call on Blazers Captain Michal Beranek¬†. The Blazers bench boss made a colorful exit to the delight of the Blazer faithful and it seemed to spark the hockey club as they dominated the remainder of the game only allowing the Oilers a measley 3 shots on goal for the rest of the evening.

OKC and Tulsa play again today in Tulsa to finish out the 3 games in 3 nights weekend.
