Blazers make it 11 Straight

Blazers Sweep Springield

The Oklahoma City Blazers completed the sweep of division rival Springfield Express on Sunday. Once again it was Matt Levene, the man on fire, who delivered the final blow. Levene  scored 1:31 into the second overtime to give the Blazers the win. OKC got out to a quick 2 goal lead but gave up 3 straight and were forced to battle back. Petr Kobes tied the game on the power play in the 3rd setting it up for overtime. Jakub Krejci made his 3rd consecutive start between the pipes and was solid making 33 saves. The Blazers were without veteran forwards Hunter Smith, Matthew Audette and lost Jared Guffey halfway throughout the game with a lower body injury.

The Blazers will have some much needed time off before they head to El Paso to face the defending National Champion El Paso Rhino’s. The Battle on the border begins Friday Nov 21, Saturday Nov 22 and Sunday Nov 23. Tune in to watch the Blazers live on fasthockey.com.
