Blazers Control destiny

The Oklahoma City Blazers are in control their own destiny heading into the final weekend of the year.

The Blazers earned 5 of a possible 6 points in El Paso this weekend after a double overtime loss on Sunday. The Blazers came within one shot of a perfect weekendvs the Rhinos going 2-0-1 erning 5 big points in the overall standings.

Oklahoma City and the Valencia Flyers are deadlocked with 84 points each atop the WSHL Standings. OKC and Valencia hold a one point lead over the defending Thorne Cup Champions Idaho Steelheads.

The good news for the Blazers is if perhaps the two clubs did tie, OKC would win the tie breaker because they beat the Flyers 5-2 in a head to head showdown at the Las Vegas Showcase. Head to Head is the first tie breaker.

Oklahoma City also holds a 2 point lead over the Colorado Eagles in the Eastern Conference standings.

Oklahoma City (41-6-2) plays Dallas (17-28-4) at home this weekend in a 3 in 3 final set of the year.

Valencia (42-7-0) plays at Long Beach (37-9-3) on Thursday, then at home vs Ontario (27-21-1) on Friday, and at home vs San Diego (9-37-3).
