The Oklahoma City Blazers destroyed the visiting Springfield Express in game 1  of the Thorne Cup Division Semi Finals Friday by a score of 10 to 4. Ivan Bukshevannyy had 2 goals and 2 assists to lead the charge for the Blazers. Krill Romanov had 5 point night and Russian counterpart Victor Ekk also had 4 points. The trio of Russians combined for an amazing 13 points.  Blazers defenceman Drake Johnson continues his strong play adding 3 assists. Jakub Krejci shared the win with Braden Lajoie who took over with just under 9 minutes to play. Matthew Audette also kickstarted the offense with a pair of goals for OKC.

The Blazers and Express play game 2 tomorrow at 2:30 PM CST at the Blazers Ice Center. A blazers win will propel them to the Midwest Division Finals next weekend against the winner of El Paso and Dallas.
