Blazers Complete Trade With Tulsa; Acquire Novack

The Oklahoma City Blazers have completed a trade with the Tulsa Oilers, sending defenseman Kamil Rypar to Tulsa in exchange for defenseman Luke Novack, Blazers President and Head Coach Tyler Fleck announced today.

The 6-foot-2 Luke Novack joins the Blazers after spending the previous season and a half with the Tulsa Oilers. In 52 career games with Tulsa, Novack has amassed 41 points and was named captain of the Oilers at the start of the 2016-17 season. Novack has played 14 games this season, earning 12 points. An native of Oxford, Michigan, Novack will join the Blazers this weekend.

Kamil Rypar, a product of the Czech Republic, heads to Tulsa after playing in 12 games for the Blazers this season and earning six assists.

The Blazers are in action this weekend for the last home stand of the 2016 calendar year! Oklahoma City will take on the Wichita Thunder for a three-game set at the Blazers Ice Centre.
