The Oklahoma City Blazers won another game in Salt Lake Saturday setting themselves up for a very good weekend. The Blazers were in control start to finish limiting a hard working Moose hockey club to just 18 shots. Blazers goaltender Filip Kostka earned his second consecutive start in as many games and picked up the win. OKC and Salt Lake entered into the 3rd period tied at one but the continuos pressure of the Blazers was too much as Oklahoma City potted 3 goals in a matter of minutes to seal the victory. Tomas Rubes had a pair of goals for the Blazers while dmen Lubos Vacek and Jiri Hajda netted 1 each.

Saturday’s win moved OKC into a tie for first place in the Midwest division. The Blazers and Moose play the 3rd and final game of the series tomorrow at the Acord Ice Arena in Salt Lake. Puck drop is scheduled for 1:05 PM CST.
