Victor Ekk Returns to OKC

The Oklahoma City Jr. Blazers and Head Coach Gary Gill announced today that they have re-signed forward Victor Ekk for the 2017-18 Western States Hockey League season. Ekk was a member of the Blazers during their inaugural season in 2014-15, and moved to the NA3HL for the 2015-16 before heading back to OKC last season.

In 51 games last season, Ekk scored 18 goals and 37 assists, for a total of 55 points. Adding his numbers from his first year, Ekk sits fifth on the Blazers all-time points leaderboard with 84 points.

As Ekk enters his final year in the WSHL, Ekk based his decision to return on the environment. “This is a great city, great organization, with great billets and team.”

The 5’9″, 186 pound forward continued, “I can’t wait to start working with coach Gill. I’ve heard that he’s a very good coach, so I can’t wait.”

From Moscow, Russia, Ekk has his sights focused on a championship this season. “I want to help my team win the championship. I want to be a part of that team.”
