Kaleb Foreman Returns To Blazers

The Oklahoma City Blazers and Head Coach Gary Gill announced today that they have re-signed defenseman Kaleb Foreman for the 2017-18 Western States Hockey League season. Hailing from Mustang, Oklahoma, Foreman returns to the Blazers for his fourth season and is one of the original players from Oklahoma City’s inaugural WSHL season in 2014-15.

The 6’3″, 210-pound Foreman comes into the season looking to help the team continue to improve, “Each year the team excelled and got better and better. I really feel like this year, with Coach Gill’s plans for the team and the core group we have coming in, I think we can really do something special this coming season.”

“After playing for Coach Fleck the past 3 years, he raised the bar and set high expectations. With Coach Gill coming in, he has a win now mentality and I think under his leadership we will have a great season and finish what we started last year.”

In his three seasons, Foreman has played in 85 regular season games, putting up one goal and six assists with 105 penalty minutes. It was just last season that Foreman moved from the forward position to the blue line. “This season, I’m looking to build off of where I was last year after being moved to defense, and to build off the success I had in that position.”

As the Blazers have reached the playoffs each of the three seasons they have competed in the WSHL, Foreman looks to maintain the expectations that have already been set, for both himself and the team. “I think everybody, including the fans, the incoming players, and the staff expect nothing less than to be bringing the Thorne Cup to Oklahoma City. We’ve had great opportunities to do it the past three seasons, but I think everybody knows this year is our year.”
