Forward Cory King Commits to Chatham University

The Oklahoma City Blazers are proud to announce that forward Cory King has committed to Chatham University for the 2017-18 season. Chatham University will be entering their inaugural season of hockey, playing within the NCAA Division III ranks.

King joined the Oklahoma City Blazers last season, playing 38 games and finishing ninth on the Blazers scoring list. In those 38 games, King added 12 goals and 23 assists. During the Thorne Cup playoffs, King added an assist in two games played.

Chatham University is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Cougars will be participating in the newly-formed United Collegiate Hockey Conference in 2017-18, joining teams from Elmira College (NY), Hobart and William Smith Colleges (NY), King’s College (PA), Lebanon Valley College (PA), Manhattanville College (NY), Neumann University (PA), Stevenson University (MD), and Utica College (NY).

King is the second Oklahoma City Blazers commit of the 2017 offseason, joining Jared Guffey as players graduating to collegiate and professional programs. You can check out the entire list of graduated players on the Blazers Alumni page.
